More fun then legal Part 2 ....

So, I ran out of time this morning when I was updating the blog so having to do this post in two parts.

By now you have probably read and seen others pictures and post about the Spooktacular crop on FB so I won't ad much more here but I definitely want to share my door prizes as many of you have asked what I won.

Whim-so-Doodle is very thankful for their customers and it really shows in the door prizes!

This set is just over the top I'll tell ya!! 8 template sets, 5 packs of embroidery thread, a piercer, the foam piercing mat and a perfect carrying bag to carry it all in. I really, really wanted to win this.

 And this is my second huge win. I had a couple of these books already so will use them as Christmas gifts. At 19.99 a piece who can complain? Both wins were over $100 each, that makes my winnings over $200! I have been going to crops for longer then I care to admit but I have NEVER won like this.

More fun then legal ...

Went to Whim-s0-Doodle for their Spook-Tacular crop this past weekend and let me tell you, we had more fun then should be legal!

Jen flew in to put on this spooky event and it was over the top between the food, games and door prizes. I have been going to crops put on by Jen for more years then I want to admit and she NEVER stops amazing me. How does she continue to always have different games to play? One would think that eventually she would run out ... nope not Jen.

Friday night she asked me to glue these eyelashes on her, now I gotta' have em!

Don't they look marvelous on her? I just love them.

My table mate up in the right hand corner of this picture is my new friend Rebecca. We have crossed each others path somewhere before but neither of us could place it. She is so much like me that it is scary. Bold, loud and outspoken ; }   YEP I would say that pretty much sums us up, what do you say Beck? LOL

 
 One of my other table mates was of course my bes-tie Miss Ginni. She graciously shared her Grey Goose with us. Need to replace it for her because it all mysteriously disappeared. Love ya Ginni ; }

The Power of Words ...

Words are important. They bring ideas into the physical universe.

At times, the phrases we continually repeat - often without thinking what we are invoking - may have quite unintended consequences.
An example would be the frequently used word "last" as in "in my last e-mail" or "their last newsletter". Rarely we mean that our e-mail or their newsletter should really be "the last one", but our words imply it. Using "latest" instead of "last" would be much preferable.
There is an old saying - the devil is in the details. So - better watch out!

How many times have we set goals, visualized our desired outcome, created and repeated positive affirmations, and yet still not achieved what we had hoped? There are numerous potential causes for this. Sometimes its simply a matter of WORDS.

Every sound we utter sends out an energy wave that aids in creating our world. With every sentence we speak we are improving or destroying our health, relationships, finances, etc.

The most powerful example I've ever heard was a story told to me directly by the woman who had the experience. This woman had developed an incurable disease of the eyes. She was quickly going blind. Her physicians said there was NOTHING they could do. Being very determined and not liking what she heard, she turned to alternative therapies for a possible cure - something she never would have done had she not been in this desperate situation. A friend recommended she see someone that did crystal healing. She thought that sounded ridiculous but decided to give it a try. During her appointment, the crystal healing therapist asked her to describe herself, her life, etc. and she let her talk for about 10 minutes. Suddenly, the therapist stopped her and said "Did you know that in the last 10 minutes you said the words 'I hate to see' 15 times?" The woman was shocked. She used the words "I hate to see" before many things. "I hate to see the way the world is going." "I hate to see how they are treating the children in schools." On and on she made reference to "I hate to see" this or that. This was literally an eye opening experience. She switched her words and now years later has perfect vision.

HOW MANY WORDS DO WE USE THAT DESTROY OUR DESIRES?
NEVER NEVER NEVER say "I'm Sorry." Two of the most powerful words in the English language are the words I AM. These words tell every part of you - your personality, your subconscious, your ego, your spirit - who you are. They define WHO YOU ARE. Be very careful what you place behind those words. When you say "I'm sorry," you are saying that WHO YOU ARE is a sorry individual. Replace the words "I'm sorry" with "I apologize." Anyone who eliminates the words "I'm sorry" from their vocabulary will increase their self esteem almost immediately! The same goes for "I'm sick." "I'm tired." "I'm stupid." - you get the idea. Replace those with "I feel ___" and eliminate the stupid comment altogether.

SO WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH GOAL ACHIEVEMENT?
Another very important aspect of conscious language is the LAW OF FOCUS. Whatever we place our attention on is what we create. It's important to focus on the positive thing we desire rather than the negative thing we want to avoid. For example, never focus on NOT AGING. Focusing on not aging ensures that you will age and quickly. Instead focus on being healthy, vibrant, and youthful.

An interesting and often overlooked part of all this is the need to avoid words that are negating a negative. What the heck do I mean by that? A word like LIMITLESS is actually drawing the subconscious mind to focus on LIMITS. This is NOT what we want. So saying something like LIMITLESS ABUNDANCE is placing limits on the abundance.

An example from my own life is the word EFFORTLESS. In the past when I made affirmations, I would typically end them with the words "easy, effortless, and fun." An example might be "Having a wonderful relationship is easy, effortless, and fun." This was actually drawing EFFORT into my life. Since I have eliminated that word and now only use "easy and fun" EVERYTHING has shifted. We sold our house in 2 weeks because it was "easy and fun." - and there was no EFFORT involved. Doug's immigration process to the U.S. was taken care of in less than 2 months. There are many, many other examples of how this has made things move very quickly and easily for us.

Review your own affirmations and the words you say out loud or just to yourself and see how POSITIVE you are actually being. It does make a difference!

One of the best things I have done for myself in my lifetime was to learn to forgive. This is not an easy task by any means my friends but oh so freeing once you master it! Now it comes as second nature to me. I hold no anger or grudges against anyone...therefore I am free ; }

Please do your part, even if it's as much as holding the intention of peace in your heart throughout the day...

This so resonated with me tonight that I just had to share it with you all...

 

The world you create is filled with void and unhappiness. Tis not the life you lead. Take heed from the watching eye and listen to its voice as you embark on its journey. Tis enlightenment you seek, a road few travel. There are many avenues to fulfill your desires. With them comes not consequence, but a means to allow all to be as it should be. For life you make too hard. Free yourself from the confines of your mind to fully see the truth that is in you. Love and forgiveness is the way to your salvation. Embrace all its gifts as they are presented. For the temple of love resides within you shrouded in a veil of loneliness and solitude.

You have chosen to help the world in its awakening; freeing humanity from the confines of the mortal mind. Your home is not of this earth but a universal oneness that encompasses its totality. Your discoveries are your keys to the remembrance of what you are. You feel its depths within your soul; its connection resonates in its musical language of peace, love, and harmony. You are calling all home and together will lead the way from this imprisonment of self creation.

Return to freedom, rejoice in your union. Embrace thee with thy loving embrace as your union continues to grow expanding its light. Do not fear the unknown as it greets you in joy. For this journey have you not embarked on alone.

Sometimes it takes a child to remind us of what is really important ...

We were the only family with children in the restaurant. I sat Erik in a high chair and noticed everyone was quietly sitting and talking. Suddenly, Erik squealed with glee and said, 'Hi.' He pounded his fat baby hands on the high chair tray. His eyes were crinkled in laughter and his mouth was bared in a toothless grin, as he wriggled and giggled with merriment.

I looked around and saw the source of his merriment. It was a man whose pants were baggy with a zipper at half-mast and his toes poked out of would-be shoes. His shirt was dirty and his hair was uncombed and unwashed. His whiskers were too short to be called a beard and his nose was so varicose it looked like a road map.

We were too far from him to smell, but I was sure he smelled. His hands waved and flapped on loose wrists. 'Hi there, baby; hi there, big boy. I see ya, buster,' the man said to Erik.

My husband and I exchanged looks, 'What do we do?'

Erik continued to laugh and answer, 'Hi.' 

Everyone in the restaurant noticed and looked at us and then at the man. The old geezer was creating a nuisance with my beautiful baby. Our meal came and the man began shouting from across the room, 'Do ya patty cake? Do you know peek-a-boo? Hey, look, he knows peek- a-boo.'

Nobody thought the old man was cute. He was obviously drunk. 

My husband and I were embarrassed. We ate in silence; all except for Erik, who was running through his repertoire for the admiring skid-row bum, who in turn, reciprocated with his cute comments. 

We finally got through the meal and headed for the door. My husband went to pay the check and told me to meet him in the parking lot. The old man sat poised between me and the door. 'Lord, just let me out of here before he speaks to me or Erik,' I prayed. As I drew closer to the man, I turned my back trying to sidestep him and avoid any air he might be breathing. As I did, Erik leaned over my arm, reaching with both arms in a baby's 'pick-me-up' position. Before I could stop him, Erik had propelled himself from my arms to the man.

Suddenly a very old smelly man and a very young baby consummated their love and kinship. Erik in an act of total trust, love, and submission laid his tiny head upon the man's ragged shoulder. The man's eyes closed, and I saw tears hover beneath his lashes. His aged hands full of grime, pain, and hard labor, cradled my baby's bottom and stroked his back. No two beings have ever loved so deeply for so short a time.

I stood awestruck. The old man rocked and cradled Erik in his arms and his eyes opened and set squarely on mine. He said in a firm commanding voice, 'You take care of this baby.' 

Somehow I managed, 'I will,' from a throat that contained a tone. 

He pried Erik from his chest, lovingly and longingly, as though he were in pain. I received my baby, and the man said, 'God bless you, ma'am, you've given me my Christmas gift.' 

I said nothing more than a muttered thanks. With Erik in my arms, I ran for the car. My husband was wondering why I was crying and holding Erik so tightly, and why I was saying, 'My God, my God, forgive me.' 

I had just witnessed Christ's love shown through the innocence of a tiny child who saw no sin, who made no judgment; a child who saw a soul, and a mother who saw a suit of clothes. I was a Christian who was blind, holding a child who was not. I felt it was God asking, 'Are you willing to share your son for a moment?' when He shared His for all eternity. 

The ragged old man, unwittingly, had reminded me, 'To enter the Kingdom of God , we must become as little children.'

If this has blessed you, please bless others by sending it on. Sometimes, it takes a child to remind us of what is really important. We must always remember who we are, where we came from and, most importantly, how we feel about others. The clothes on your back or the car that you drive or the house that you live in does not define you at all; it is how you treat your fellow man that identifies who you are.

My Tarot card for the day...The Wheel of Fortune card

The Wheel of Fortune tells you are in the centre circle of life. The Wheel says what goes up must come down and what goes down will always come back up. It  usually appears as a positive card indicating a fabulous change in life, a breakthrough. This card represents our destiny and the strange magic of life.  Something astonishing is likely to happen out of the blue. In life we have free will most of the time but the Wheel of Fortune means something fated is about to  occur.
